Tuition Notes

*Upon availability: 

  • Families may choose to "buy out" one or more of their co-op required days at the rate of $54 per workday and $54 per alternate day.
  • Families who wish to reduce their tuition may work extra days beyond the required amount at the rate of $32 for each additional workday provided and $27 for each additional alternate day provided.


Families with two or more children simultaneously enrolled receive a 20% discount on the second and/or younger child and subsequent children.


The following additional fees will be required which are non-refundable:

Ways & Means (Fundraising) Obligation - Parents are required to participate in major fundraising events and contribute at least five hours towards the planning and execution of those events per school year. Yes $360 ($72 per required hour)
Fundraising Minimum Obligation - We expect parents to raise $320 per student for the 2024-2025 school year. As a non-profit organization, Hilltop counts on support from our families, friends, and the greater community for operating costs annually. Approximately 10-15% of our budget requires fundraising, which equals about $350-500 per student annually. All current families are required to fundraise collectively and this can be met by a combination of fundraising events that the school will organize. In the past, this has included among other events a trike-a-thon, a color run, and donating items to consignment stores. Yes $320 *Please note this is an additional fee from buying out of the obligation of Ways and Means hours.
Job Obligation - Parents are required to maintain a job or a committee position for the school year, i.e. Board member, librarian, secretary, fundraising committee. Yes $360
Maintenance Obligations - Parents are required to perform two maintenance duties per school year, one of which is a maintenance job (such as painting or repair work), and the other of which is a scheduled Clean-Up Day. Yes $360 ($180 for Cleanup Day; $180 for maintenance job)
General Meetings - Parents are required to attend monthly general meetings held the third Tuesday evening of each month from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (parents not working in the classroom need only attend the three mandatory General Meetings held in September, January and April). No
Orientation - New parents working in the classroom are required to attend a one day (9am to 1pm) Classroom Mechanics Orientation session before they are scheduled to work in the classroom.
